Very good

Very good place for families. The beach is big and clean. The entrance to the sea is very gentle and good for children. The swimming pool is great. On the pitches there are a lot of shadow.

We were thrilled by our visit to this family-friendly campground near the beach. The booking process was very easily and the staff replied quickly to questions I had. We visited in the middle of June, over the “Pfingsten” school holidays from Germany. The check-in process went very quickly and easily (I had completed the online pre-check-in). The office staff is fluent in German and English. Our mobile home (“prestige”) was located at the rear of the grounds. It had ample parking. Outside it had a fairly large and roomy garden area which gave us room to hang out and also store our bicycles. There was a large wooden covered porch, almost as big as the house itself. We used this a lot for eating or sitting at the provide table and chairs as well as storing beach items and drying clothes on the provided drying rack. The house also came with two sun loungers. For a manufactured mobile home we found the house quite roomy. It had a central kitchen and living room area, including a wall-mounted TV (Italian stations) and a large sofa that could be converted into a bed. I think having 6 people sleeping in the house could be tight but it was great for us three. On either side of the central room is a bedroom. One room had a 140x200 bed with en-suite bathroom and the other had twin 80x200 beds. The other bathroom was accessed from the central room. The kitchen area was nice, with provided cutlery and cooking items, and a large refrigerator with freezer and a 4-burner gas stove. No oven or microwave but we made do without. There was an AC unit that could be used 12 hours a day though we didn’t need it as much as expected. We were literally across the street from one of the two pools. This one had a nice kids side that was very shallow and had three water slides. The other side had different light massage jets and a set of six loungers in the water as with bubbles. If you want a quiet pool without kids this is not for you. The pool was open until about 19:00. Next to the pool is a bar/cafe where we enjoyed our daily espresso and filled croissants for breakfast. You could have drinks, snacks, and light food like sandwiches until about 19:00 daily. The staff was very nice and helpful even though we speak minimal Italian. The pool did host a “disco” hour from about 16:30-17:30 which we could hear loudly from our mobile home. It was okay but if you like a quiet nap then, be aware. The beach is about a two minute walk from the front gate of the grounds. It is a sandy beach and the water was quite warm when we were there. There’s a free beach with a lifeguard or you can pay 22€ per day for two loungers and an umbrella at the campground’s beach club. I really liked the beach because it is separated from the road by a pine forest so there are not hotels directly spilling onto the beach. It is fairly quiet and not over-crowded. At some times the water was as calm as a swimming pool, other times there were waves and the water was a bit rough. We ate one time at the beach club, the food was pretty typical for a beach club and the service was good. The small shop in the campground sell everything you forgot or didn’t know you needed, from bathing suits and beach toys to toiletries and electronics accessories. We enjoyed getting a selection of fresh focaccia breads from the bakery/deli counter in the back, which also had cheeses and meats (the fresh ricotta was great!). The prices were very reasonable for the convenience. The market does close for siesta, 13:00-16:00ish, and closes for the night at 19:30. The register takes cash or card. The town of Casal Borsetti is a nice little beach town. We had handmade ice cream at the Cremeria. The Despar is a decent supermarket, open daily but closes from 13:00 to 16:00. We rode our bicycles to a nearby Agriturusmo restaurant. About 20 minutes car ride north is the old city of Comacchio.
